Promotion – The Life Blood of Every Author

Promotion (from Wiktionary) – Dissemination of information about a product, product line, brand, or company.

After Jenna Woginrich published her first book, Made From Scratch, she invited readers to take a picture of the book and send it to her.  I took the pictures, but never sent it (sorry Jenna!).  It was a great idea – pictures came in from all over the country and people shared with her what the book meant and how it changed their lives.

So Jenna, I’m sorry that I never got around to sharing it with you.  After I read your book, I decided that I didn’t need a farm or acreage to live a more self-sufficient life.  There was so much I could exactly where I was at.  I put in a small garden; froze, dehydrated, and canned food; and went back to cooking more whole grains and beans.

Thanks Jenna for all the inspiration!
