Action Checking Out The Yard

April 11, 2011

Action – Something done so as to accomplish a purpose.

Here’s my favorite beagle checking the perimeter of the yard.  He goes out regularly – every 15 minutes or so – to see if something changed.  You never know if that darn squirrel’s been out again!  It gives the beagle purpose as he takes action in his patrol of the yard.  Of course, if Mom steps out onto the deck, do you continue your job or see if she has a treat? You can see here that he’s not quite sure which is more important.

Word for tomorrow – WONDER.  If you prefer to work ahead, see the list for the week under “A Word A Day”.

To see how others might interpret today’s randomly selected word, check out other challenge participants in the box at the right.  For more information on participating in the challenge, click  the tab marked “challenge invitation”.

That stare could bore a hole right through you. Any enemy would run for the hills, if he were smart. ha, ha.

He’s very good at mind control – you will obey the beagle. Obey the beagle. Or at least he wishes he was.

He’s equally good at avoiding eye contact. He thinks we won’t see him if he can’t see us!
