Stunt I Did Not Try

The last vacation that I took with my parents before getting married was up in Canada.  For a change, we didn’t camp in a tent but instead rented a cabin that had real beds and a real kitchen.  It was quite a treat!  We took the dog with, which we also did not do very often.

It was actually quite different to vacation with my parents as a near-adult rather than as a child.  I remember the vacation being much more relaxed, more enjoyable, and coming home glad that I’d taken time to spend with my parents and sister before marrying.

And for a change, instead of fishing all the time, my Dad took time out for fun and hooked the boat up to waterski.  None of us had never done it before!  I didn’t try that particular stunt, but my sister did and had a great time.  Even now, all these years later, I’m glad I skipped this.  It didn’t appeal to me then and it still doesn’t now.  Which is funny since I’m usually up to trying things at least once.  But not this one.

I’m with you – no physically challenging stunts for me.

I could have handled the physical challenge at that time in my life, but it just didn’t appeal to me. I love the water, so I’m not sure what it was but I wouldn’t even try it.

I’m not big on water skiing either. Tried it once and never got up. Put me on a cruise boat with a good book in my hands.
