This was taken from my window at work of the parking deck on the next building. Subsequent to taking it, multiple small brown birds descended and drove this hawk off. I took a photo of that happening, but it was all a big blur.

Interesting occurrence…little birds driving a hawk away. Is that possible…or even normal? hmmm…

That’s actually pretty common. I’ve seen it before, although not usually quite so many at one time.

I’m always amazed when I see little birds gang up on hawks.

What surprises me just as much is that the big birds will leave – you think they'd just hang tough.
