As a puppy, dog #1 loved to play in the mud. I walked him off-leash along the Missouri River and if there was a puddle, he’d find it. Thankfully my Jeep wasn’t too new. I clipped him into the back and ignored the mud the next day.
When we moved to Minneapolis, one of the dog parks that I took him to had a pond in it. He’d get in there and play, play, play. He especially loved to splash and jump and make as much noise as he could. And of course, slap water and mud all over himself. Thankfully I could hose him off before putting him back into the car.
We were enjoying some quiet on the deck yesterday when I noticed that not only is his muzzle getting grey, but the pads of his feet are as well.
Word for tomorrow – INSTRUMENTAL. If you prefer to work ahead, see the list for the week under “A Word A Day”.
