Downright Pretty For A Brief Time

Flowers, ZArchive (Old Blog)

This is the fourth year the passion flower has bloomed on our mailbox.  The flowers don’t last but a few days, but they are downright spectacular when open.  The bees love them, getting between the yellow stamens and purple fringe.  I’ve seen as many as three of them, always going clockwise in a circle.

Love the way you showed the layers of the flower with vs. looking straight into the bloom with your slide show.

Thanks! I was trying to show how unusual they were and couldn’t think of any other way to do it. I’m glad you noticed.

Very cool. The design is wild. What kind of a creator would think of this?

I totally agree with you – there’s so much detail in these flowers. God must have had fun designing these.
