The A to Z Challenge for 2012 starts today. The goal is to blog a different letter of the alphabet (sequentially) in the month of April. You can use a unifying theme or not. You chose the word. It’s that simple.
Over 1600 people have signed up to participate! It’s a great way to make new friends, get in the habit of writing daily, and stretching your creativity.
I wrote a guest post back in January for Arlee Bird, the coordinator. There were some great comments from readers too.
After doing my own random word challenge last year, I recommend this highly as a way to improve your blogging content and skills.
[In the spirit of full disclosure, I am not planning to participate in 2012. I have been writing a short book and need to get it finished to show to a publisher in May. My time these days is in keeping up my blog content and getting my book drafted.]

sounds like fun but i don’t have time for a blog a day right now. twice a week keeps me busy enough. day job, therapy practice and writing another book all seem to take time. sheesh.

Very cool! Best of luck with the book ~ and be sure to keep us posted!! I decided to do the challenge again this year, since last year I didn’t finish because of my hand surgery.
Look forward to hearing more about your adventures!

Thanks for sharing this. It is tempting but I’m already a day late, and behind on making a ‘Monday Music’ for 4/2. Maybe I’ll keep it in mind for 2013 — if I remember, if it repeats in April 2013.
